Black Friday

To say I'm excited for Black Friday is an understatement. In Ireland we have no such holiday. As you may think it is a shopaholics dream to be in the states for this event. However this is my dilema! In previous blogs I've wrote of how I'm going to Canada for thanksgiving. How will I avail of the crazy discounts there? I am considering crossing the border to Buffalo for the day as I believe its the nearest "big" city from Canada. The fact that Buffalo is beneath 6 feet of snow and most roads are still closed does not bother me, not to mind the huge flooding they are about to receive.

Blog, do I have a problem? :P

The end is near...

With only 3 weeks left on my amazing adventure it makes me think that end is very near. It wont be long until I'm back in Ireland re-adapting to my old lifestyle. The time I've left here is all too precious and I must not waste a second. On wednesday I will be heading to Toronto in Canada for the thanksgiving break. I will be meeting up with all the other exchanges from my class in Limerick for one last hurrah as we see it. I am looking forward to seeing Canada as I have never been and want to experience another new culture within this colossal continent. I hear that Canada itself and their folk are a lot different to USA. It will be magnificent to see their cultures and how their ways differ from my own and USA. I am extremely looking forward to seeing the CN tower and Niagara falls. I hear the Niagara falls are simply beautiful around this time of year as some of it may be freeze over and others may not. Either way I promise to enjoy myself in Canada and extract the most out of the experience.

PSAPHERD

I had an amazing time in Seven Springs ski resort this weekend. The weather managed to reach lows as cold as minus 12 degrees (Celsius- for all my US followers). This was a massive shock to me as coming from Ireland I have never seen cold or snow like this. I spent the weekend at the annual Physical Education conference that takes place. I got a chance to experience some amazing classes. Particularly I loved the technology classes as I see it as the way forward for education and learned quite a lot.

However it was not all work and no play. At night time I got the chance to socialize and network with my fellow colleagues. I met some amazing people and got a chance to bond with class mates I had never met before. All in all it was a surreal weekend and I am delighted I got the opportunity to attend.
